Arnold Dreyblatt innocent questions

The installation artist Arnold Dreyblatt is renowned for his media- and archive-supported works concerned with cultural memory. The former student of La Monte Young and assistant of Nam June Paik has made a name for himself over more than thirty years with works that cross the boundaries between new and traditional media. The publication innocent questions addresses Dreyblatt's most recent, eponymous work, which focuses on the very current question of the violation of personal rights in the present day. He thereby works in a historically very precarious site: using an oversized punch card, he shapes the design of the façade of a manor house in Oslo, Norway where a National Socialist once lived and that now houses a Holocaust museum and research center.
