K49814 Filamenta

Blood vessels like avenues, wing fins, fish scales, as if etched by old masters, inkblots, swim bladders still filled with the fish’s breath. The artist, who works under the pseudonym K49814, weaves the endless filaments of the fish industry into these (wounded) delicacies like sacred embroidery. The deadly, ocean-emptying, human-made threadwork stands in opposition to the filaments that run in magnificent nets through the cosmos and through all life forms on our planet, enabling a constant exchange of information and will, i.e. life. This book aims to help unravel the destructive webs and enter into the process of communication within this grand fabric of existence.
