Monochromatic, geometrical color fields in an almost "Old Master" mode of painting in oil on canvas are characteristic of the pictures of Stefanie Lampert (*1966). No light reflection, no gloss, and no anchorage point for the eye disturb the magnetic power of the plain color panels. The artist is also increasingly working on architectural-spatial pieces in which she plays with the temporal components and the effect of natural light on the objects. The publication Retour de Paris presents her current works and locates them within art history.
